Hailey's Baptism

Familia Sin Amor, (Family Without Love)

Well we had the baptism, it was great. We went over like 5 hours early set up and fill the font. When we started to fill the font, the water went down the drain, and woke up the spawn of hell. :0 First we had a Cricket crawl out, and then a 3 inch long centipede, then a cockroach, and a little spider. We got them all out, and when we were fishing out the spider, we found a squirpion in the corner, it was squirming around, and so i had to get a picture. I ran out to the car, ran back in, and he had drowned, so i got a picture of his body. We didnt tell Hailey about all of that. i told elder Chappell that if anything started to come out while he was in the water, then he should put his
foot over the drain:) we cleaned up the gym really well, the font is in a weird place of the gym, and so it was a little hard to work with. But we got it looking good, i found flower arrangements in the whole building an made it look real nice. I'll send you a program, it looked really good. The actual servie was awesome. Leslie, Haileys grandma, said the opening prayer, the spirit was so strong. The program was awesome. elder Chappell baptized her. And on sunday Bishop Mortenson confirmed her, it was really great. i loved the whole thing.

Also for the baptism Devon and his little sister Emily were there, we are hoping that we can start to teach them soon, Devon's a real good kid, and wants to be baptized, but his parents said no. :( I am praying every morning and night that he and his family, and also the Bothmans, will be baptized either while im here, or after. But i know that they will, its just a matter of patience, and for us to do the work, and to have the faith, and to help them as many ways we can. Which we are going to do this saturday, marcia is goign to paint her candy store, and we get to help, also her daughter Sara is going to come! So we are really looking forward to that.

Sara lives in Rio Rico, which is just south of sauharita, and north of nogales. its on fire rightnow....like the rest of Arizona, but they are ok. Sara's husband is a member and they are sealed in the temple.

As for the fires, we are 7 to 10 miles away from the Horse Shoe 2 fire. We will be okay, in fact the wind is blowing the other way. And there are no trees. Check out this link, added by his parent: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/fires/main/usa/20110612-arizona.html

I borrowed an accordion from a member. Its a really fun instrument. Ive been learning really fast. because Elder Chappell has to do district leader stuff at night so, i just practice it then.

Its been a very busy week, but very rewarding. Thank you all for all the letters.

Love, the Elder that loves less more. ;)
