Bringing Friends Into The Church

Dear Family,

Well this last several weeks have gone by very quickly. Our transfer day is next tuesday. So that will be when i write next time. I wont find out until Sunday night if i have been transfered or if Elder Hernandez has or whatever. We are expecting 22 new missionarys this time. When i came it was 20 missionarys. but i think most are english speaking. its going to be very exciting to see what happens.

This week we have been alittle busy, first with getting Alexis and Marissa interviewed and preparing their baptism. I wish they could go to church every sunday. We are on schedule to have the baptism on Wednesday, December 15th. Yesterday was the primary program, it was very fun. All of the songs and "talks" were in Spanish, and i dont think all the little kids speak alot of Spanish, but it was all really good. One little boy got up to say his line, and he started smiling really big, and covered his mouth, his mom grabed his hand off his face, and then he put his other arm over his mouth, it was so funny.

One thing we are focusing on is the Young womens. this last tuesday we had 5 young women there, and usually they only have one. and 3 of them were ours. They had alot of fun. the other elders have a young woman named nicole who is really out going and is really excited to be baptized. So once all of these young women get baptized they will be really strong, and keep bringing friends into the church.

we are trying to get alot of new investigators each week, and are aways praying to find new ones, and strong ones. but this week was very hard, we spent alot of time trackting, and looking up referrals and found a few, and we are hoping that we can find more. It takes faith, that someone will approach you, or that you will knock a door where they will be interested. The spirit is absolutely essential, im learning more and more everyday to listen to it, and follow.

Alot of our investigators are not complete families, or we only teach one of the family members, we always try to go for the whole families, but that hasn't happened yet. alot of our investigators are not keeping commitments, so we are focusing alot of time on finding.

Well im hoping for a great week this week, and a great end of this transfer, with a baptism! I hope that if i stay here, i will know enough to teach my next companion about this area.

i still havn't received your letters for the last 2 or 3 weeks, im not sure why it is going so slow. So im not sure how everybody is doing at home. so i hope you are all doing well. And i havnt heard from my sisters for a while. Or anybody... :) hope to hear from you all soon.
