Dear Family,
well this has been a busy busy week. we set some higher goals this week to stretch ourselves alittle more. We wanted to find 7 new investigators, and teach 20 lessons this week. On Wednesday we had exchanges so elder Rusk was with us, and we had a referal down in amado, so we tryed to find her but she wasnt home. So we tryed to go to the LongHorn Grill but the prices were too high. So we decided to go back to that street and we found an old man who was like "wheres your church, Ill go" so we gave him the address and then he had to leave. Then we walked down the street and talked to 2 ladys sitting on the front porch Ana and maria, and taught them both the 1st lesson. then we left and went back down to Sahuarita.
The next day we went back to amado, and we found the referal we were trying in the first place, and taught her a small lesson, gave her a book of mormon and gave her a baptismal date (we should give them a date in the first lesson anyway, for our mission) she said she was sick, so we are stopping by later this week. Then after that we found Ana again, and she was way more interested without her friend maria there (she reminds me alot of
Felicitas). She was really excited to learn more. Then we went down the street to teach that old guy, and we found him and taught him the 1st lesson and gave him a date too.
Still later on that day, we were knocking in that "city" area i found last week. and we found another investigator there. that day we taught 7 lessons. and found 4 new investigators. So we met our goal for this week, we actually got 21 lessons too. but we were running around everywhere.
yesterday we got a ride for Felisitas to church, with Sister Rhem, and for all 5 of her grandchildren too. She really liked church, and so did the kids. They are really good kids, and really like primary. weve taught her all the lessons, so now we are wondering what to do, we are going to have the baptismal interview on tuesday, and that will go just fine. She is So ready, it's amazing how fast people change, and how fast they will accept something, ONCE the try it. once they read and pray, they will recieve and answer. After church, Elder Hernandez and Elder Spencer went to sahuarita to take Brother Rhem up there, so they could switch him with Sister Rhem when they droped felicitas off. So i spent the rest of the Day with Elder Rusk and Barlow in Midvale( south west tucson) And their car blew up on tuesday, so they have been on bikes. I needed a bike, so we borrowed one from a member.... but it turned out to be a small little bike, but i rode it all day. about 8 miles, i cant wait to ride my bike again!
Well a little sad news, Elder Spencer got a call from President Walker and is going to be going to mexico. We knew he'd leave us sooner or later. he is leaving tomorrow and has to go to boise. then will head to mexico on thursday. So its going to be back to me and elder hernandez. I think today we are going to the Titan missile museum here in sahuarita. I heard its really cool. So well see.
Thats about it for this week. we are just working really hard, and very busy with all of our investigators. we are trying to get them all to progress to their date on the 5th of February. And excited for Felisitas's on the 29th of Jan. This little branch is growing very quickly, this transfer is going to be a very important one to get the members working and more people to church, and then this area will be on fire, and alot of people will start coming, i hope im here to see it.
This week we saw alot of miracles, we have been praying to find new people to teach, and we found pretty solid ones. They should be really strong. Our prayers were answered, and now we just keep having to pray and get these people progressing!
