Hola Familia
Wow already a year out in the field! It's flown by. This morning, we were driving down to Green Valley (for reasons that will be mentioned later in this letter) and i thought of my first time heading down there, which was a year ago. Its been a great year, with alot of things happening. And i still have about another one. Only differences about this time going down there, today it wasn't sunny, it was raining, and its been in the 50s for the last few days. mornings are really cold, but when the sun's up its perfect in the 70s. Im not sure how biking will be with this rain though. it will probably be gone later today. We bike about 80% of the time and we walk 20% of the time. We have to go far to get between areas. I'm glad I have a nice bike. I have had no flat tires, yet and it's still in pretty good condition.
Ok so why were we going down to Green Valley on the morning of our Pday? Well we found Isaias a dentist!! i called the dentist who is a member, last night, and he said we could come in tomorrow, which is today. And so I became a dental scheduler :). So we got a ride for him and us, with Hermano Sardina, and headed down. It went really well, they ended up taking out the tooth. Im really thankful for the help from the dentist, and his service. Isaias was excited after it. He kept on thanking us. That will make it easier to see him... we didnt get to see him at all this week, except for Sunday, when he came to church. He's this close to getting baptized, we just need to see him.... and now we can! The members are really excited to help him as well. Its really moving forward, i hope he will be able to get baptized this month, before transfers, so i can see it. I think the next transfer is the 22nd of November, which is right before thanksgiving.... and i think i will be leaving, which wont be great, because its thanksgiving, and i wont know any members...
The work has been going good, this week was weird because we couldn't really see anybody.... nobody was home! So we rode around on bicicles, and knocked doors. That was about it. But we have been really blessed this week for the help with the dentist. Also good news with Isaias....him and his wife are on better terms now! Hopefully we will be able to teach them.
Well thats about it. thanks for the picture of the nephews and nieces. that sure looks fun.
Love Elder Loveless.
(Elder Loveless sent the above e-mail on Monday, November 7th. On Tuesday, we received the tragic news that Elder Trevor Strong, from our Stake, and who was serving in the Texas McAllen Mission, was killed. He had less than two weeks until he was to return home. His twin brother, Elder Scott Strong was serving in the same mission as Elder Loveless. He was a zone leader. Because of the death of his brother, Elder Scott Strong has been honorably released from his mission and has just returned home to be with the family. He was originally to be released before Christmas.)
