Happy Halloween (And the twins' first birthdays)
Things we eat at Members' Houses: Carne asada, toquitos. tortas, sopas, caldos, tacos, carne, pollo, sonoran dogs. its all really good. there was a while when all we got were sopas, (or soups) that was a boring week, so we always say..."oh i hope we have soup today" then we dont get it :)
What a week! Last pday we went to a members house in Tubac (between green valley, and nogales) our whole zone was there and we played crocket, and horseshoes, they also had a trampoline, so i had fun being a 12 year old again, and doing front flips, and back flips. it was really fun.
Also on wendsday, me and elder Rusk, my ZL, went on an exchange, he came to my area which is actually his old area where he began his mission. We started the day off, with a lesson with Isaias. It was a 2 hour lesson, he didnt really want us to leave. But he started talking about how all the churches split. and made a new one, and how that doesnt make sence. So we taught the restoration, and talked alot about everything. pretty much. Then we had to leave, it was one good lesson. Me and Elder rusk found out that we have really good lessons when ever were on exchanges....even back when we were greenies.
After that lesson we went to molcas...a Mexican food place, and i got the jumbo sonoran dog, with just about everything on it. so good! And the rest of the day we went around seeing people. Irene, has now been a member for over a year, and is preparing to go to the temple. in a few days or weeks. it was a really good day.
On Thursday we got a text from Isaias, saying he couldn't sleep the night before, because he has an infected tooth. so we told him we would look for a dentist, and also some medicine. That whole day i was worrying, how we were going to get him help, then i remembered that one of the members that lives by us is a dental assistant. So we went over to her house that night, and asked her if she knew any dentists who were Mormon, and would help out for free, or for yard work. She gave us the names of 2 who live in Tucson. Then she also gave us some Anti-biotics for him. It was perfect, and an answer to prayers, the next day we went over and gave him the meds. and then told him we were looking for a dentist. He was planning a yard sale, so he could get some money. So we told him we would come over the next day to help with that. We went over at 7:00 in the morning an helped out all morning. he left to go put up the signs, and so we watched his yard sale. 5 mins after he left, 3 cars drove up, and started looking at stuff. The first thing to sell, were 2 bike horns, which i said cost $2 each, so the guy bought them. in the first 5 mins, we had made $21 dollars. It was a really fun day. We also met his family members, and I'm not sure sure how distant they are from him. But they seemed alright there. so we'll see... he always askes us to pray about them, and his relationship with his wife, so it can improve. he came to church on Sunday again. and we've asked him to pray about the Book of Mormon. and also about a baptismal date. he's an awesome guy....oh yeah, and i forgot to say, he goes to Halloween parties as a giant Sponge-bob, or Patrick, and also creates other costumes. but right now hes working on getting things in his life back in order, and a bit of money, so he can start making costumes. Hes a really awesome guy! A real miracle, that we really needed.
We see the miracles everyday, and were working so hard, and receiving the blessings, Some days are harder then others, but when i feel the spirit working through me, i know im doing whats right, and its the best feeling ever.
Thanks for all the prayers
and have a great Halloween
Love Elder Loveless.
PS -- we aren't able to go out tonight since it is Halloween. They don't want us out tonight, for obvious reasons. It's an all-day (and all night) Pday.
