Familia Loveless
This week was awesome! not only because of conference, but of a few other things.
We set a date with Jose. (October 22) We asked him to pray in our lesson to ask iif the Book of Mormon was true, so he did, and said he felt like his chest was raising up...that's the spirit we told him. We watched conference over at his house for 2 sessions. He always has a ton of questions, but we answered them all.
I went on an exchange with Elder Johnston, we did some knocking in my favorite area of the mission....Summit! over in my old area. It was fun... he had the crazy idea to do 5 hours of knocking. After the first hour I was really tired. It was a lot of walking. But after we got some water from the people we knocked into, it wasnt that bad. we ended up only knocking 4 hours and 17 minutes. But we still felt good about it, Since we found 4 new investigators, and many potentials. i also found $1.30 in change on the ground....50 cents of that was in pennies. It was a very fun day. Now I just need to do that in my own area :) We said that we started from a humble little hill, and ended on the porch of the King of Summit, who Elder Johnston says controls the Summit Malitia, and is the key to unlocking the hearts of all the people in Summit...(actually he just has the biggest house in the area...but we did talk with his father, who said we could come back) Anyways, it was good doing some work in my old area.
Conference was awesome!! We watched all the sessions of conference at ether one of our recent convert's houses, or investigators. with irene, jose, and marisela, christian, and david. it was very fun. My favorite sessions were the Priesthood session, and the Sunday morning. I liked Elder Holland's talk.... he said that we are at war...which is pretty true out here. Also i dont remember who said it, but he said that we should work even after we use all our strength.... Thats one thing i want to work on now, is to work really hard. Ive been doing pretty good at that, but i can work harder...and get my area moving forward even more. Im really excited for this transfer coming this week...im completly in the dark about whats going to happen but i know that its what the Lord wants.
Thanks for all the letters, prayers, and everything, it all helps.
Love Elder William Loveless.
Next time Elder Loveless is riding his bike home, he should take the $1.30 that he found on the ground and go get a chicken drumstick! (In remembrance of that talk in General Conference!)
