The Baptism of Alexis

Buenos Dias!!!

Well thats surprising to hear that I have a new nephew... i didnt know he was coming so soon!  But thats awesome! I'm glad he's healthy and everyone is doing fine! So, Knoxx is his name! That's a great name! I went on my mission having 2 nephews and I'll come home to 5 nephews and 2 neices!   Well we had the Baptism for Alexis!  It was really good.  Right before it we took pictures...i handed my camera to elder Nystrom, and he accdentaly dropped it...well the case around the lense got bent alittle bit, so it wouldnt close.  So the camera freaked out, and i was scared it would never work again...well Elder Nystrom told me that had happened to his camera, and he just clicked the lense back into place.  So i did that, and it worked!  it lives again!  and we got pictures!    It all went well!  she will be a great member.    She even bore her testimony in church the next day.    I also had to talk in church...it was on sharing the gospel.  It went pretty good. 

  The other day we set a goal to find 10 new investigators, and set 10 dates.  Its pretty high for what we have been getting...But it shows us how much we will have to work.  and make us want to do that well.   yesterday after church we recieved a referal from the sahuaro elders, of a lady and her family. who were taught by the missionaries in Mesa, and want to continue here!  So we called her up and we have a lesson on tuesday set up.  SO things are falling into place for us to reach that goal.  We thought we were crazy when we put it down in our goals...But even if we get half of it...it will be better then just 1 or 2 new investigators.  So it will work out great!   We really need new people to teach... so this will replenish the pool!   Everything else is going good.  Its in the 90s now, and really hot!  especially biking.  it will probably go over 100 this week..  and there are rumors that this will be one of the hottest summers ever!    But im losing alot of weight.  I like this area, its small, but has a ton of people in it, and its pretty easy to bike.  the other day we were biking around, and seeing former investigators... and we got water at every house we knocked around one former investigators.  so i drank 4 or 5 water bottles in just  an hour.  But thats what you need to live.  on saturday we were biking, and i didnt bring water with me (becasue i was expecting people to give water out again)  and nobody answered there doors...SO i was dieying of thirst, we stoped by a members house, and he only had one water bottle left,  So we split it, and it gave me enough energy to ride home, where i crashed on the couch during our lunch hour, it takes alot out of you...just have to stay hidrated, which im doing pretty good at. Saturday was our "former investigator day"... and we tyred about 30 houses.  Most had just moved away since the last time missionarys taught them.  Or they didnt answer the door... Except one house was the same person, and said we could come back... Well actually she wasnt the same person, but she had the same name, and the same number of kids as the former who used to live there.  We asked if a Cicilia still lived there, and she said that it was her. and we aske if she had met with the missionareis before.  She said no... and asked how we had her name.  we explained that little records are kept for people who met with the missionaries.   She said that she had just moved in a few months before,  So it was really weird, but she did say we could come back.  So we will see her sometime this week too. 

  Thanks for the letters, and the packages.  im excited to have 5 nephews now.  and 2 neices. it will be nice to be able to see them... But in the mean time im haveing a great time here in Tucson!   Love Elder Loveless.
