Happy Easters

So we had a really good week this week.  We didnt get to our "former" investigator day, like I reported we would do last week. A few surprise meetings came up and took all our time, so we have postponed it for another week.  I did get to go to a District leader meeting up at the mission office.  that was fun, we learned alot about how to reach our goals.  and our standards of excelence, which for our mission is like what we should do every week to get 1 baptism a month.  That is our mission wide goal, to get a baptism a month... and its sad to say, but our mission is way below that.  SO we have to do better.

What made this week so good, is that we got our standard of excellence..or as our mission president has started saying... our standard of expectation.   We were really close to not get it, but then we got some members with us on Easter, to see a few investigators.  Also we set 3 baptism dates this week.  One is with Alexis, for the 21st of april,  all we are doing is waiting for her papers.  shes So awesome, and has a real strong testimony, she is 14 years old.   her and her family went to the Easter pageant up in mesa and really enjoyed it.  Our other date is with Apolonio, he has been meeting with the missionarys for about 6 months.  Now he is getting ready to be baptised.  we are planning for the 28th.   Then we have another guy we found while looking for a former... well the former investigator had moved and we started teaching him.  his name is carlos.    So we have alot of awesome things to do and people to teach.  But we're not going to stop with just 3 people with dates, we going to keep looking and work to set more.  we will get 1 baptism a month....actually this month we will probably get 2.  :)

So im back in the full spanish zone.  its a bit different since all the missionarys are different...except elder Johnston... he is actually in my district again.  he was with me in sahuaro branch.  So its fun being with him again.  he ends his mission in June.

Ive started making really delisious granola for breakfast.  I got the recepie from a member in the sonora branch.  It turned out really good.

Easter was really good.  Church was great, not to many people were there at the begining (because they all went to the easter pageant in Mesa, and were tired)  But by the end, alot of people had shown up.  After church we were invited to a park to have dinner.  We had carne asada.   i had one of my new favorites, called a Caramelo which is a quesadilla with carne asada inside.  MMM yummy!  its also called a sincronisada.  At the park there were a ton of people grilling up carne.  i asked our 2nd counsoler in the branch presidency "Cuantas vacas muertas estan en este parque?" (How many dead cows are in this park?)  he laughed, and said "A lot!"

So it was an awesome week!  we are seeing alot of success.  and alot of good things are happening.  But we still can do more, and we can still work harder.... AND WE WILL!!

Thanks for the letters..
