Getting On The Band Wagon

Dear Family,

I wish i had brought my letters here with me so i could remember some of the questions that were on them, but i left them at my home. Also i can read my emails in my account, i just can only email family members, but you can still check if you want.

I got your package yesterday, i havnt opened anything yet except the jelly beans. But i think i already know what the other 2 things are. Thanks emily and david for the letter, it was fun, ill try and respond to it now that i have more stamps.


Lindsey, and John, and Rocklond, Thanks for the Juice harp, i actually got a sound out of it....lots of them, im playing it in one of the numbers in Sunset.

[Definition: The Jew's harp, (also called a jaw harp, mouth harp, or Ozark harp, trump and juice harp,) is thought to be one of the oldest musical instruments in the world. Despite its common English name, it has no particular connection with the Jewish people or Judaism. This instrument is native to Asia It consists of a flexible metal or bamboo tongue or reed attached to a frame. The tongue/reed is placed in the performer's mouth and plucked with the finger to produce a note. The frame is held firmly against the performer's parted front teeth, using the jaw (thus "jaw harp") and mouth as a resonator, greatly increasing the volume of the instrument. The note thus produced is constant in pitch, though by changing the shape of his or her mouth and the amount of air contained in it. I also bought a harmonica, and im learning 2 of the songs for Sunset on it. And Hillary, good job on finishing school. I guess it ends in this week or next week. Party!!!

Now to the Nitty Gritty....We started our performances on the Band wagon, and of sunset by the mississippi yesterday. The Band wagon is fun, it beats rehearsing, and we play less. WE start at 10 to 10 and we ride until 1 ish, at 12 we give a concert by the cultural hall. Yesterday there were alot of people there. It has been hot, but not as hot as last friday, and less humid. But still hot, and no rain. we had sunset rehearsals this last week each night.
Sunset was crowded, there were alot of people there. We did pretty well. Its a fun show. it was our first of a lot more performances of it.

Next sunday we start working in the sites. I dont know which one i willl be in yet. We also wear our authentic clothes now too, they are fun, but smell funny, and are really hot, But its not too bad. They are fun to wear. I havent gotten pictures yet, i dont have my camera with me where ever i go, because i dont have my back pack with me always.

For my endowment temple i dont know if you have reserved a time for the session. And now that i know the date i can go in and get a reservation. They have July 28 for a few times that were open last wendsday. This wendsday when we go i will reserve a time for a session, probably around 10 or 12. Or i might be there on monday or Tuesday because we have to switch our time for baptisms. If you want to beat me to it you can make one, and ill just double check when im there.


Ill try to get some pictures next week. But this time i just didnt get any.

Well have a great begining of summer. Nauvoo is just starting to come alive, lots and lots of people are here now. and its getting fun seeing all the people, and the little Ninios are so fun.
