This first picture is of all the band elders and band sisters in the Seventies Hall where Elder Loveless opened his call.
Well the Days go by like weeks, and the Weeks like days. Its a weird feeling.
We had our first rehersal of our show Sunset on the Mississippi on friday, it was about to rain but it just sprinkled a little. It was good, the band people are dancing in one song, and then i am also a "backup singer" for the Devil went down to Georga, with 3 other people. And the band played a patriotic song, and that was about it. Then we had our second practice yesterday and it was the hottest day so far. But the rehearsal went smoother. its going to be a pretty fun show.
I've attached some pictures to this e-mail one is of some hail one night.
For my birthday i really don't need anything. Maybe a Spanish Book of Mormon or something like that. or send me some stamps, that would be sweet. 2 other elders have the same birthday, one stage elder, and then one band elder. [Billy's 19th birthday is May 31st.]
Our rehearsal schedule is about to change, this weekend we start riding the band wagon and playing at sites....and Sunset on the Mississippi opens. We are also doing this cheesy bible school play for this multi-denominational bible school, and i get to be the professor in it...woopty doo! Then on monday we are having a rehersal with the Nauvoo comunitty band, and i actually get to play my real horn for that, i cant wait! Those Marching horns are Barbaric, but its better then the mellophone i played in high school. [Horns that have the same fingering as the French Horn.]
Ive only gotten a letter from you guys, and my old roomate Chase, but we check the mail everyday, and its always a good time when we get a letter, so keep sending them.
When you are coming to Nauvoo for my endowment? [The week of July 26th] oh and if you take me to lunch, my companion has to come with too, and you are supposed to pay for him, as well.
Well I wish i could write all that we are doing, but i just dont have enough time. Have a good week, and Hillary have a good end of school...i guess its getting to that time now....we usually dont reallize what day it is. or how fast time is going..
Love, Elder Loveless
(A picture of Elder Loveless right before he opened his mission call.)
Can Elder Loveless take a picture of his Nauvoo black missionary name tag? I'm curious to know what it says on it.
ReplyDeleteWe'll ask him in our next letter to him.
ReplyDeleteI remember sitting with Billy in that same Seventies Hall when we went to Nauvoo. It seems like the tour guides let him go up behind the pulpit too. We never thought he would open his mission call there.
