This morning, Elder Loveless and his youngest sister, Hillary, played one last game of Speed with the Phase Ten Cards. Then it was time to go to the MTC in Provo.

We were told to say our good byes before we got to the MTC, so we went up above the Provo Temple and took some pictures, gave hugs, and said good bye for two years!

It's been 30 years since Rhonda and I, (Elder Loveless's Parents) went on our missions and stayed two months each in the MTC. But this in no way prepared us to leave our own son at the MTC. We drove up to the front of the MTC and there were several missionary hosts to meet us at the curb. They helped him with his luggage, we hugged him one last time, and away he went!

We were going to go to Subway before the MTC, but Elder Loveless wasn't hungry. So instead we went right after. It helped a little to bury our sorrows in food.

We went back home via the Alpine Loop in back of Timpanogos. The pretty scenery really comforted our hearts and brightened our spirits! We arrived home just before Elder Loveless might have been eating his first meal at the MTC. I wonder what he's doing right now...?
Let the adventure begin!
