The First Week

Familia,

Well this is my first actual time emailing from the CCM (MTC en espanol)

So the last 4 days have been pretty busy. yesterday we learned how to greet people, and ask them some questions in spanish, i did ok, i had to look at my notes the whole time, but we had to go up to 10 people. We have been working on the frist lesson in english, and we taught it today to some other elders, it went alright, im trying to get it so i dont have to look at my notes as much. My district is pretty cool, we played 4 square today for gym time (which is outside because the gym is getting re-done) And that was fun, there are 6 companionships in our district, some are going to i think some are going to chile, one to el salvador and then to Tucson.

We dont have a ton of time to write real letters so ill try to get one off next week on pday, our pday is friday, so you wont hear from me for a while. We are jsut waiting for our laundery to get done.

Well the days are really long, and we do alot of reading, and studying, and practicing spanish. Our minds get tired of reading Espanol. I dont understand alot of it, but i can pick out a few words, and then i think we will start congigatting soon. Its really fun though, to learn spanish, im pretty good at pronunciation, but forming sentances is hard. But we really havnt learned to much about it.

The food is pretty good, not to the level of the Hardys' cooking in Nauvoo, but still ok, they have really good apples, and cantalopes. well i hope everything is going good at home, and that you are all enjoying your time.

Im having a great time time, i feel the spirit every minute of the day, and its so easy to just feel happy about what we are doing. Its kinda easy to get discuraged that im not learning the launguage way fast, but its the 4th day. i guess i just want to learn it so i can start talking in it, i just need more patience for that. This is where i need to be and this is where other people need me to be, so i can go out and invite others to come unto Christ and be happy.
Thanks for all your support.

Adios!

Elder Loveless
