Finding the Book of Mormon is True

Dear Family,

This week was great!

So for the last little while we have been teaching Luz, and the only thing that has been holding her back, is that she really didn't have an answer that the Book of Mormon is true. WELL... we taught a serise of lessons about the Book of Mormon, and why its important to know its true, and we challenged her to read from it, and then pray very specificly if it was true. Well we come by 2 days later, and shes very busy studying for a test. So we had to leave real quick, but we needed to know if she got her answer. So we asked her, how her reading and praying went. She said "Well i was reading the bible...and i read something really good. and well, i know that everything you teach is true."

It was awesome, we were taken back a bit. The way she said it, i thought she might have been about to drop us. BUT she didnt and she got her answer. Well the next day (saturday) i was on the University of Arizona campus on an exchange with the zone leaders. and elder tolman was in our area. Well they went by to see her, and they ended up teaching one of her sisters, and setting a date with her! and with Luz there it was like having a member at the lesson! They had a good lesson. Bad news is that, she didnt come to chruch on sunday, and we are not sure why. But it might have been a family thing. So we are going by today, and going to have a way good lesson with her.


Yesterday we had a fireside at the institute, at University of Arizona, We were in the choir singing. It was a really powerful fireside, and i know there was at least one non-member there, becuase we found him. While i was on the University of Arizona campus. we were walking around trying to contact people, but it was a saturday, so nobody was really sitting around. we went back to the institute, and then decided to go around campus one more time. Well we were looking at some display they had over at the science building, and a student came over and asked us if we were lost. We said no, but then we started telling him who we were. He looked at our tags, and said "you;re missionaries? I was about to look you guys up! is your chruch close by, i want to go" so we showed him where the chruch was and taught him about the Book of Mormon. he already had one from 2 years ago. he was way solid. i wish i got to teach him, but at least somebody does. Well he showed up to the fireside the next day, and really liked it. It was for non-members, and several recient convert college studentes spoke, and told their conversion stories. it was very powerful!

Dad asked what we eat at our apartment. We have sandwiches, and oatmeal. He also asked what I like to eat the most at people's houses. It's got to be Carne asada! I love that stuff, everytime we eat it, i eat a ton!

Lindsey, i got your letter, and i really liked it, John's letter was very good. I understood all the Spanish.

Well this week was good. Tomorrow we are going to the temple. so im really excited for that.
