New Years Celebrations

Hey family

Well we had a good new year.... we had to be in by 6:00 so we tried to go the the branch party, but nobody was there, even though it started at 5:00. So we went to panda express. and then went home and sat around. happy new year!! im really excited for 2012! i cant belive i finish my mission this year.

SO Transfers came..... and im staying!! and so is my companion Elder Tolman. some how we tricked our selves into thinking that we were getting a transfer call... so we were scared one of us would be leaving. But neither of us are, and thats exactly what we wanted! we have alot going for us. Sadly everybody didnt stay, and my old friend elder hicthcock is moving, but actually hes going district leader in Sierra vista. So thats good news.


We had a carne asada party for new years. we also had another carne asada party yesterday at another members house. the Zone leaders were there, and the sisters. it was really fun. I also found out that the member we were with, is actually related to some people in Kearns, they were there for christmas. and the people they are related to is my buddy Beano Rodriguez from Kearns high. They are their cousins.

this week we had an awesome thing happen. a member called us and told us he wanted us to start teaching his girlfriend. She is the sister of a recent convert.. and so we started teaching her. Shes way prepared, and just about ready to get baptized as soon as posible....only problem is.... she actually lives in mexico, and she was here for the holidays. So yesterday after she came to church she said goodbye to us, and went back to mexico. But she will probably come back at the end of january...becasue shes dating a member, SOooo if the missionaries dont find her down in mexico, then we will probably be the ones to finish teaching her, and to baptize her. So we are excited for that. Baptising somebody in another area. is called a poach. So it will be the ultimate poach! over the international border!

Weve been working really hard, and we are having a great time. im excited for this transfer. and the NEW YEAR!!
