Miracles

Hey how are you all doing?

This last week went very well, we got a little more success this week, but the real miracles are with the other companionships in our district. So last transfer elder foote, and elder hitchcock, had not alot of work, they worked hard every day, but with little fruits, Well this transfer starts, and by the first day they have a couple new investigatores. This past week, they got a family of 6 passed off to them from another branch. They have several other familys to work with... and a guy came to church yesterday and wanted to be baptised. So their hard work and diligence is paying off. The sisters had like 12 people at chruch yesterday (counting little children) and several golden families. So they are doing great. We have the goal as a district to have at least 3 baptisms in february, and im pretty sure we will destroy that goal!

Our area is going very well, we were invited to have dinner with our investigator Luz, well actually it was at her sisters house, (who is a Jehovah's Witness) :) well we had a good time, we had burritos, hotdogs, and elote (corn on the cob), i made it the same way that it is made on the movie Nacho Libre...thinking that would make it more bearable to eat. Well it didnt! I hate corn more now! haha, but everything else was good. Speaking of weird foods. yesterday i tryed Lengua....or in your language -- tongue. Cow tongue! at first it looks nasty, becasue all it is is a giant cow tongue, but then they cut it up, and it actually tastes really good. i had 4 tacos de lengua! haha. So ill give up the corn, for the cow tongue. i didnt have my camera at the time... I wish I did...so no pictures :( next time though.

Anyways back to the work. Luz has been moving along pretty well, she didnt come to church. But shes been reading, and with the dinner at her house we had a good time to meet her family. This week we will focus on helping her receive an answer that the Book of Mormon is true. We also have to find more people to teach, so its going to be a very good week. We have a ton of potential, and now we just need to use it!

Last week I had reported on a family that called us back after we left info on their door. Well, we stopped by and he was interested. But very busy with things. he didnt know Mormons read the bible so that was good for him to hear.

Dad asked about the couple I was teaching in my other area, last summer, Bill and Marcia. The other missionaries there aren't visiting them as much as we where. They still haven't gotten baptised, but they are doing good. i wrote them before Christmas, but havent heard anything back yet.
